Weekend wonders

So the weekend went pretty well. Kiddo had a good time with his dad. He looked just as rough as always. My gf and I shared a bite to eat, had a cocktail and played a few games while we let them do their thing. We then met my mom for sushi and had a movie night when we got home.
I've really been enjoying these weekend family movie nights. The kiddo has really enjoyed them also and that's great.
The drastic changes to our schedule has been hard on all of us. Funny cause as soon as we start to get used to it, it'll change again I'm sure. Trying not to complain too much though cause at least I have a job...and for once I have a "real" job. It won't be long that I'll have a decent cushion in the bank again and still be contributing to my family and household.
The wedding planning is getting more involved. The time is moving and we're getting closer and closer. It still doesn't seem real but I'm sure that it will feel more than real before I know it. We will be meeting with the flower lady next weekend and possibly a photographer too. And in two weeks we'll be going on a gown hunt! That's exciting for sure!
I guess I should be working on some schoolwork instead of blogging on here...

It's all for the kid

We are taking kiddo to GW tomorrow to visit with his dad. We will be staying there while they do their thing. It will be hard for me to not want to follow them around making sure that he isn't trying something stupid.... I also worry about the pressure that may be put on the kiddo to play games that he knows he's not supposed to play. It's getting a bit old to be taking a couple hours out of our day every so many weekends so that they can see each other. But I have to give only supervised visits at this time. I can't give him anything more than that right now. And it's only for the kiddo's sake that he's even getting what he's getting.
To top things off I found out today that the asshole has another warrant. He got stopped for hitch hiking, got a ticket, didn't pay it, missed court and now has another warrant. As far as I know, when you are on probation you are not supposed to get into any other trouble. I'm not sure if this warrant will then affect his probation or not. After much thought I have decided to still go along with the plan for GW, knowing that we will be there if he was to get picked up. But this is one major reason why unsupervised visits is just not an option.
