Soon to be released

Kiddo's dad will be getting out of jail next month. He's written the kiddo a whole 2 letters the whole 6+ months that he's been in there. In these letters he fills the kiddo with hope that he'll be seeing him when he gets out. We've explained to him that this is not the case. That his dad has to prove that he's going to be making better choices and not breaking the law before he'll be able to see him again. As much as I would like for him to just walk away for the kiddo's sake I do hope that this trip to jail has opened his eyes and given him what he needed to change. I honestly don't see it happening that way but we'll see. The hardest part for the kiddo is how he comes and goes. Like I've said many times before..either be there and be there always or go away and don't come back. We shall see what this release brings..
